Changing the rules of the game
Technology plays an essential role in sports. It ranges from helping to monitor an athlete or a match’s performance to broadcasting a game for the world to see. But at the Xiaomi Davis Cup event, technology can reinvent the method of play and engage visitors into the spirit of the game like never before. Xiaomi represented one of Davis Cup 2021’s major sponsors.
We celebrated their commitment to keeping the spirit of tennis alive while promoting their innovations in the field of smart phone technology, especially the launch of their 11T model. But one of the key moments in the event was a unique tennis match that took place on a court made by using the latest technology in projection mapping.
The court changed in size and shape constantly which lent the game a surreal ambience and its thrilling experience was heightened by Carlos Moya, Spain’s former no. 1 world tennis player. Our objective was to showcase that technology and sports go hand in hand while using the latest strategies and tools in the events industry.
